11. ISBN and EAN




In 1996 an agreement was concluded between the International Article Numbering Association (EAN), the Uniform Code Council (UCC), the International ISBN Agency and the International ISMN Agency to foster mutual cooperation. It provides an observer status to respective representatives at each others general assemblies, suggests consultations and regulates the numbering of non-printed book material.
